Ben’s Birthday – Part 1

Ben had a birthday, shout Hurray! Last week Ben got even older than me, he’s now a quarter century old. Quite the accomplishment. His birthday was Wednesday, and he took the day off of work, it was great.

The day started off with Lily and I making him breakfast, which is documented as follows:

My adorable sous-chef. We were making biscuits and sausage gravy.

It’s not really cooking until you get flour everywhere.

Carefully, carefully…

Oops.

Let’s get that at another angle:

I don’t remember reading about this step in the instructions.

And so we started over. :) Well, I started over, and Ben entertained Lily. The final product was pretty good, if I do say so myself, even though it did take two tries.

So did the (self-proclaimed) “Cutie Princess.”

After breakfast Ben opened his presents, and after that I had a Dr’s appointment. We all went to Red Robins for Lunch afterwards, then exchanged the shirts I got him for his birthday (wrong sizes), and finished the afternoon at Coldstone. It was all very fun, Ben enjoyed being spoiled on his birthday and Lily enjoyed having her Daddy home with her all day.
